Welcome to Cedars Coaching Academy website.

We believe our academy is unique.  Our aim is to bring together, in one place, a whole range of sporting courses so people from anywhere in the country can gain nationally recognised qualifications.

The new decade will see us grow yet again, continue to diversify, and offer many more exciting and imaginative initiatives.

  • In 2007:  We produced 130 qualified coaches from 9 sports.

  • In 2008:  254 coaches qualified across 27 sports.

  • In 2009:  Our main academy week certified over 400 coaches.  By the end of the academy year this figure was in excess of 600 coaches from more than 50 sports.

  • In 2010:  We celebrated our 1000TH coach.

  • In 2011:   Our roster now boasts almost 100 sport-related activities and over 200 courses.  We successfully launched our own football academy in conjunction with Luton Town Footbal Club and our golf scholarship programme with Tilsworth Golf Centre.

  • In 2012:  Luton Town FC Academy grew from 1 to 6 squads, including 2 teams at U.18 and we expanded and revamped Junior Academy Day across the whole school.

  • In 2013: Ambitious plans are underway to duplicate our successful football programme – in rugby.  Hopefully, Leighton Buzzard R.U.F.C. will become our key partner.

The academy has been fortunate in attracting sponsorship from a variety of local sources, without financial assistance this venture would have been impossible.  We are most grateful for this support and very keen to hear from individuals and organisations who could help us build sustainability into our project.

We are proud of the very tangible role our academy fulfils within the community, whilst simultaneously meeting many government targets.

We have positive and well developed links with a large number of national governing bodies and recently received prestigious awards, from the Football Association (FA), the Rugby Football Union (RFU), the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) the Cheerleading Association (UKCA) and Rocket-It-Ball Association (RIBA), in recognition of our contribution to coaching.

I hope you find this website useful and informative.  Do not hesitate to contact us if you require more information.

Best wishes

Mr S Palmer
