Luton Football Academy
Under 18 Elite Football Academy 2012-2013
Applications are now being accepted for the Cedars Football Academy 'DEVELOPMENT SQUAD'. The
development squad sits just below the main academy team, is an Under 16 group of players, who will hopefully feed into the main academy at Sixth Form level in September 2012.
The development squad will exist as a separate entity from the main academy but there will be opportunities for squads to merge to give an insight into the full programme and its routines.
Applications for the Development Squad and for the full Academy should be submitted to the Head Coach, Stuart Smith by email trials.ltfc@hotmail.co.uk.
This is not exclusively for Cedars students, anyone under 19 years of age may apply.

Cedars launches Golf Scholarship Programme

Keen golfers and budding professionals who attend Cedars Sixth Form can now access a unique golf scholarship programme, offered through the school's coaching academy.
This very personalised course will cover all aspects of the professional game and enable students to be in prime position for acceptance onto the PGA Pro full course, delivered by Birmingham University through the world famous Belfry.

Cedars Golf Elite Scholarship Programme
In conjunction with Tilsworth Golf Academy a limited number of placements are available through the Cedars Elite Scholarship. Minimum entry criteria will be required for a 12/24 month work experience programme.
This is designed to prepare for entry onto the PGA Foundation Degree Programme and positions as PGA Trainees.

Cedars Football Academy launched in Leighton Buzzard
Cedars Upper School in Leighton Buzzard has announced an exciting partnership with Luton Town Football Club that will see students able to study for A levels whilst playing for the club in one of the highest of youth leagues.

Cedars Hits 1000!
Cedars Coaching Academy recently graduated its 1000th coach. Now operating throughout the year, participants are able to select from a roster of more than 200 courses from almost 100 sport-related activities.
The coach Sue Deas, attending a Netball Level 1 course was a landmark for the academy, the 1000th certified coach.
In 2010 participants from as far afield as Manchester, Plymouth, Glasgow and even a group from Sweden passed through the academy's doors.
Callum Irving, Coaching Network Manager at sports coach UK commented "The work at Cedars Academy is a tremendous advert for how people's enthusiasm for sport and sports' coaching can build into a highly successful programme for delivering the qualified people that underpin community sport. The staff at the academy, the school which hosts it and the many volunteers who enable it to run, deserve great credit for putting a huge amount of work into improving the experience of all who take part in sport".
